  Human Resources Generalist (Lincoln, RI Office)
   

Pare Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for its Lincoln, RI headquarters.  Reporting to the Director of Business Administration, this position will help shape the Human Resources function at Pare, and promote their culture of collaboration, teamwork and community service. Pare has served the needs of public and private clients throughout New England and the Eastern United States for almost 50 years. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a respected firm and build the HR function.

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist should have experience in recruitment, HR compliance and administration, and a strong focus on coordinating the staffing process in multiple sites. This position is responsible for coordinating human resources activities including employment, new hire processing, on boarding, HR policy and procedure, as well as training, employee relations, benefits/compensation, and administrative duties. This person will also work with local colleges to coordinate internships where applicable. Must remain current of human resources trends and legislation. Infrequent local travel required.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures Human Resources polices are current, communicated, and the organization is in compliance with state and federal labor laws.
  • Provides direction and coordination for all staffing activities. Develops job descriptions; posts positions and expands recruitment sources; develops relationships with staffing firms and colleges; prescreens candidates; coordinates interviews and participates in interviewing process as needed; assists with reference and background checks; helps to negotiate employment offers. Processes new hires.
  • Coordinates and provides direction for all employee relations practices.
  • Serves as a back-up for payroll administration.
  • Coordinates all employee leaves of absence (FMLA, USERRA, ADA, etc.).
  • Maintains HRIS information, analyzes data, monitors trends, provides recommendations to management and generates reports.
  • Maintains and coordinates documents and information for the Annual Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Works with Director of Business Administration to streamline and update HR practices and systems.  

Our Ideal Candidate has:

  • Minimum of 3 Years of direct Human Resource generalist experience.
  • Specific experience in recruitment and HR administration; payroll experience a plus.
  • BA/BS in related field required. HR certification preferred.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws and regulations.
  • Familiar with job posting processes, sites, interviewing techniques, and recruitment methods.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written and listening. Service oriented.
  • Effective organizational skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations and reprioritize work and schedules accordingly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter who works well independently, makes good decisions, and demonstrates sound judgment.

  Traffic Project Engineer (Lincoln, RI Office)
   

Pare has an immediate opening for a Traffic Project Engineer operating primarily from our Lincoln office.  The position requires a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.  Assignments will include all components necessary for traffic engineering including performing traffic impact studies, parking studies, signal design, public presentations, and other traffic engineering tasks on public and private projects.  BS in Civil Engineering and PE registration required. 

The successful candidate will work on a variety of assignments for the transportation division including overseeing staff assignments, coordinating with clients, making public presentations, and the management of projects through construction.   Environmental Engineer (Lincoln, RI Office)
   

Pare is seeking a qualified individual to fill an Environmental Engineer position in our Lincoln office. We are looking for an individual with experience in water supply and/or wastewater engineering projects. Additional experience with solid or hazardous waste would be beneficial.  The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulic modeling, CADD, GIS, and the preparation of construction documents.   • BS degree required, MS preferred
  • Professional engineer or ability to become one within a year
  • 5+ years of experience in water supply and/or wastewater-related engineering
  • Experience in solid waste or hazardous waste desired

  • Water/Wastewater/Stormwater computer modeling desired
  • Experience in preparation of Construction Documents (i.e. plans and specifications) desired

  Site Engineer (Lincoln, RI and Foxboro, MA offices)
   

We have a position available for a Civil Engineer with a passion for the design of site and infrastructure projects. Work assignments typically include:

  • field reconnaissance,
  • grading,
  • stormwater management,
  • utilities,
  • site layout,
  • sustainable/green infrastructure design, and
  • construction administration.

Required Qualifications:

  • 0 - 3 years of relevant experience with site analysis and design
  • BS degree required, MS preferred
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Word and Excel
  • LEED Accreditation or ENV Sustainability Professional a plus

  Structural Project Engineer (Foxboro, MA Office)
   

We have an immediate opening for a qualified individual to fill the position of Structural Project Engineer in our Foxboro, MA office.  This individual must have a passion for the design of building projects, the ability to meet or exceed client expectations, and the skills to lead the technical requirements of projects. Job components include assisting the Managing Structural Engineer in planning and managing assignments, directing and coordinating structural staff, and actively participating in design activities. Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of direct relevant experience with building design
  • BS degree required, MS preferred
  • Professional licensure (PE) required
  • First-hand knowledge of current Building Code(s) and the design of new structures, including reinforced concrete, steel and timber design methods

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
     
  Senior Level Dam Engineer (Foxboro, MA Office)
    Pare is looking to expand our dam engineering staff in our Foxboro, MA office through the addition of an engineer with at least 15 years of direct dam engineering experience inclusive of design and evaluation of the type of aging dams that dominate the New England landscape.  The prospective candidate shall be a licensed professional engineer experienced in the development of construction plans and specifications, and will possess a passion for addressing the many challenges and opportunities confronting the region’s public and private dam owners.  The candidate shall also have experience in project management, client management, proposal development, and business development.  Advanced degrees are preferred, as is demonstrated involvement in the dam engineering community.  Please submit your resume along with a cover letter detailing one of your dam engineering successes.  Pare Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.

    Pare is seeking a Bridge/Structural Engineer for our Lincoln, RI office. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience.  Position responsibilities include engineering tasks associated with bridge/structural projects from design through construction.  Experience with RIDOT, MassDOT, and ConnDOT preferred.  Use of structural analyses programs such as STAAD.PRO, MDX Steel Girder Design, ConSpan, and AASHTO-BrDR preferred.  Minimum educational requirements:  BS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
