Belmont Community Path Feasibility Study
Belmont, MA

Pare completed a feasibility study process for the Town of Belmont for a multi-use community 2.25 mile ADA-compliant path alongside one of MBTA’s active commuter rail lines. Pare evaluate route options (including addressing community concerns), prepared engineering assessments of path infrastructure (including bridges and tunnels),  developed cost estimates of path design and construction, and coordinated with state agencies, and providing advice to the Town on how to proceed with design and funding via the MassDOT, MBTA, the regional Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). Community outreach through stakeholders meetings, walking tours, and public forums was a significant aspect of the project.
