Marshfield High School
Marshfield, MA
Pare Corporation was responsible for design and construction-phase services related to site/civil, traffic, geotechnical and environmental engineering for the new $102 million, 267,500-SF Marshfield High School.
The design included athletic facilities including two multiuse synthetic turf fields with underground drainage systems and a cooling system, 11 turf ball fields, a new synthetic track, 8 tennis courts, a new press box with a lift for handicap accessibility, and replacement of bleachers.
As the existing high, middle and elementary schools share a campus, public safety was a primary concern. The project required innovative construction phasing and coordination to ensure that all existing building uses and associated utilities remained safely and effectivly operational throughout construction.
The new high school has received LEED Gold Certification.
