Pare Corporation was selected by the Town of North Smithfield to undertake the rehabilitation of various local roadways. The scope of work required Pare to assess approximately 13.5 miles of roadways to determine the most cost-effective method possible for rehabilitating the pavement structure for the approximately 30 town roadways.

Key design tasks performed by Pare included field reviews of all roadways, assessing pavement conditions, prioritizing capital needs based on a $2.5 million bond budget, and providing design recommendations of roadway and drainage rehabilitation methods.

Other services included preparing design plans using GIS aerial mapping, preparation of engineer’s estimates, specifications, developing contract bid documents for advertising, and providing full-time construction administration and observation services for the Town.
